At Langwarrin Quarries our current crushing campaign brings together machinery, material handling and processing to produce our mudstone rock products. Here's a closer look at the equipment and work behind the finished materials.
A look inside the current campaign
The current campaign includes production of Screened Type A, LQ Toppings and Rubble. Across the site, processing equipment and stockpiles show the stage involved in preparing these materials.
The equipment behind the process
A crusher, screen, excavator, loader and dozer are being used to complete the work. Together, the equipment supports the crushing, screening and movement of material across the quarry.
The photographs capture different parts of the operation, from the excavator alongside the processing equipment to rock leaving a conveyor and collecting in a stockpile.
Products being produced
LQ Toppings and Rubble are available now. Screened Type A is also being produced during the campaign, but it is not yet available for supply.
Testing needs to be completed before Screened Type A becomes available. Its availability will depend on that process, so it remains separate from the products currently ready to order.
From the wider operation to the detail of the processed rock, the campaign shows the work involved in preparing natural materials for their next use.
